David Wollman - Session leader Manager, Smart Grid Standard and Research NIST | |
At this session we will introduce the Green Button Initiative, based on U.S. Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra’s challenge to industry to develop a simple way for consumers to download their own energy usage information in easy-to-use standardized electronic formats from their utility or retail energy provider. The Green Button, a voluntary initiative, is being built upon standards that originated through the SGIP Priority Action Plan 10 activities. In this session we will brainstorm potential uses of Green Button data and develop some roadmap scenarios for future development, including how best to involve relevant parts of our SGIP organization moving forward.
