Phoenix

Desert character. It can’t be conjured, landscaped or kindled with twinkling bulbs. John Ford knew that. So did Frank Lloyd Wright and Louis L’Amour. Spend a few days in Greater Phoenix and you’ll understand, too. America’s fifth-largest city still has cowboys and red-rock buttes and the kind of cactus most people see only in cartoons. It is the heart of the Sonoran Desert and the gateway to the Grand Canyon, and its history is a testament to the spirit of puebloans, ranchers, miners and visionaries.

Closest Airport is Phoenix Sky Harbor.

Venue

Phoenix Convention Center

All Grid-Interop activities will be held in the South Building of the Phoenix Convention Center. The Convention Center expanded in 2008 and now offers more than 900,000 square feet of meeting and event space and more than two million in total square footage, making it one of the top 20 convention venues in the United States.

Breathtaking building features
The soaring Arizona-inspired architecture of the Phoenix Convention Center is designed to share the wonders of our Southwestern culture, stimulate the imagination, and welcome guests to this premier meeting destination at the center of it all – downtown Phoenix.

The Sonoran Desert’s natural environment, history and culture were the inspiration for our facility’s design. Thousands of images of Arizona from cultural, historic and geographic points of view are combined with indigenous materials, stones and native metals to form our unique design concepts. Every detail – from colors and textures to lighting, angles and entrances – inspires guests to explore the marvels of Arizona.

Our cutting-edge audio-visual, telecommunications and information technology services are customized to fit any individual or group needs. For the best presentations, programs, connectivity, interactive programs and building automation, we will ensure your needs are met…and exceeded!

A commitment to art
